Leslie Thurston Nominated for Best Actress at Las Vegas Black Film Festival

Los Angeles, CA.-Actress, Leslie Thurston, has been nominated for Best Actress at the upcoming Las Vegas Black Film Festival. Leslie plays the role of Maylin in "Watch This" directed & written by Richard Turke. The Las Vegas Black Film Festival takes place this weekend April 28-May 1, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. http://www.lasvegasblackfilmfestival.com/
"Watch This" is a 26 minute short film about a retired bus driver, unable to mourn the loss of his wife, who turns to his television for comfort. When the TV breaks, he is forced to look outside his closed world. The film also stars Harrison Page and Eboni Gentry.
Not only is Leslie nominated for Best Actress but the film has gathered quite a few other nominations for: Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Sound, and Best Cinematography.
The film will be screened at Suncoast Hotel & Casino on Saturday, April 30, 2016. The awards ceremony takes place on Sunday, May 1st at 11 AM.
Next up, Leslie will be seen as Principal Fermont in the upcoming film "Dismissed."
Previously Leslie has appeared on such shows as Major Crimes, Extant, Whitney, Childrens Hospital, Parks & Recreation, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Love Bites, Franklin & Bash, Criminal Minds, Shameless, Private Practice, My Name is Earl, and others.
